I put this website together out of an interest to learn new skills using HTML and CSS. I wrote it in Visual Studio Code and it is hosted through GitHub Pages.

About Me

I am currently a student athlete studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Victoria. I'm in my fourth year at Uvic and have been a forward on the Vikes hockey team since I started my studies. I'm originally from Camrose Alberta and have lived in other parts of the province while playing junior hockey prior to attending university. In conjunction to my engineering degree I'm also pursuing a business minor. I see the business minor as a good compliment to my studies and will help me develop some valuable skills to be a better engineer. Uvic has been a great place for my educational and athletic goals to come together. For the past two hockey seasons I was given the opportunity to be a alternate captain and took on responsibilities to help lead my teammates.

Interests

I love playing many other sports, fishing, hiking and being around friends. I love physical activity and I'm always in to learn new skills and try new things. In terms of my professional interests, I enjoy working with electronics and computational intelligence.

Goals

I'm passionate about engineering solutions for sustainable energy and transportation. I plan to orientate my career so that my skills will can be used in the progress and development of electric vehicle transportation and sustainble energy.

Electrical Engineering Undergraduate Research (Co-op)

Worked in research and development to create a robust machine learning algorithm for detecting static eccentric faults in three phase induction motors using MATLAB. During my work I had the opportunity to author a conference proceeding which was accepted for presentation at IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition 2022 in Detroit, Michigan.

AR Bike Helmet Project

Won first place at the UVic capstone competition. The helmet detects vehicles approaching the user from the rear and notifies them via a projected indicator display. Check out the website here:
